Mao Cafe Bar

Restaurant on Chatham Row near Stephens Green Restaurant Stephens Green Dublin 2

Mao Restaurant
Last Thursday 2th of May, me and my friend David we went to Mao for dinner around 8, we didn’t have any reserve but after 2 minutes they gave us table, the decoration in the restaurant is very nice and floral with lights effects that gives you an idea of been in a spice sip, in a nice way.

I order lemon fish wrap in a banana leave, something that i thought it was very exotic combination that makes the dish very colorful and interesting to see. In one of the sides it was a mix to create a little spice red sauce.

Lemon fish banana leave

The fish it was just delicious and the color perfectly withe with no bones whatsoever.

The red sauce it was a mix of onion tomato and some of mint that to tell you the truth i was not fun of it. It was spicy and minty at the same time.

After this fantastic main course i just order the desert a beautifully cheesecake with strawberry on top t it. The strawberries were just so natural and tasty that you could smell the real smell of the fruit. The cake was just unbelievable, but i donut think it was home made.

Later on i had a cocktail because after 8.30 the server cocktails for €5, I had Red Lotus with lychee on it, it gave it a really sweet taste to the cocktail

Red Lotus
I really enjoy the diner in this restaurant and i would recommended it to anyway that wants to have a nice and relaxing time.
